2016 MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. PARADE (Baltimore)

Monday, January 18, Baltimore City held its 16th annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. parade down the boulevard that bears his name. The TRUTH family and friends were proud to participate in Honoring Dr. King in the below freezing temperature.  We came together for a day of service, picking up the baton handed to us by past generations and carrying forward their efforts. Decades after his death, a new generation is learning his message.  Millions served on MLK Day and we pray the spirit of service carries over into the rest of the year.  Thank you for participating in MLK Day 2016!

2014 MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. PARADE

Monday, January 20, Baltimore honored Martin Luther King’s Legacy with the 14th annual Parade. The TRUTH , IHRC, NCACC,  family and friends united to participate in the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service as a day on, not a day off.  Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. believed everyone could play a role in making this country a better place to live, and this initiative encourages everyone to turn his life and teachings into community action. The energy is electric. And the mood is definitely one of a celebration, as thousands of people lined Martin Luther King Blvd. for a parade to honor the life and legacy of the civil rights leader. Decades after his death, a new generation is learning his message.
